Women Over 40: Relax Yourself Into Losing Weight Permanently- Get Rid Of Stress

Many women over 40 are stressed and have a hectic life. Having stress is closely related to your inability to lose weight permanently.

In our twenties, our bodies can deal with living a life style that is less than healthy. Once we pass 40, it's a completely different ball game. The body after 40 gets more sensitive for any form of abuse. It’s time for a change- a lifestyle change making you feel better than ever.

1. Get enough sleep. To lose weight over 40, it is important that you get enough rest. While you’re sleeping your body releases fat burning growth hormones, assisting in natural, sound weight loss.

2. Start a relaxing exercise program. You do not need to work out like a fitness guru to lose weight permanently over 40. Better do a combination of endurance and strength training on a regular basis. Choose a program blending well into your day-to-day schedule. Get a friend to do it with you- you’ll hold each other responsible to actually show up. And: Doing it together is more fun too! If you have some belly fat, add a combination of Pilates and stress reduction to your exercise program. This will help flatten your abs.

3. Get some fresh air outdoors daily and have the oxygen flow through your body. On your lunch break, enjoy a walk or bicycle ride for regeneration. Instead of purchasing fast food for lunch, bring your food from home and eat it while walking.

4. Give yourself some slack when following through with your nutrition and exercise plans. There is no use in being a perfectionist in these matters. Stick to your plans 95% of the time and you will love it much more - and not feel as forced. If it’s cold and gray and rainy outside and you absolutely not feel like having a walk, get a hot bath tub instead. This will get your heart rate up, and is another simple pleasure that will allow you to lose weight permanently over 40.

5. Over 40, your body responds much stronger to all the little sins- too much food or alcohol, too much stress, not enough rest and relaxation, not enough exercise. This lifestyle will reflect in your bathroom scale, making it hard to lose weight permanently for a woman over 40.

Fortunately, the opposite can be applied here: If you take exceptional care of yourself, you will see it and feel it - and 40 and older can be the greatest living ever.
